Find the best way to contact us by selecting the most appropriate options below:

  • I am a patient at the practice
    • I want to book, make changes to, or cancel an appointment
      • Sorry appointments cannot be booked, changed or cancelled online.

Please call our reception on 0161 438 0446 during our open hours 9.00-13.00 and 14.00-18.00 Monday to Friday and one of our nurses will be happy to help.

    • I am experiencing problems following a recent appointment
      • My teeth and/or gums feel sensitive after recent cleaning by the dentist (scale and polish)
        • This is normal and usually due the removal of calculus (a mix of bacteria food and toxins produced by the bacteria) from any exposed root surfaces of your teeth. The calculus does a fairly good job at sealing tiny porosities in exposed root surfaces, stopping you from experiencing sensitivity. Unfortunately, the bacteria produce acid and toxins that cause gum disease and tooth decay, and calculus looks unsightly too.

Using a sensitive toothpaste is a safer way to seal the porosities on exposed root surfaces and prevent sensitivity. Most sensitive toothpastes take a few weeks to build up to full effect.

If you continue to experience sensitivity after using sensitive toothpaste for 2-3 weeks then please call our reception on 0161 438 0446 during our open hours 9.00-13.00 and 14.00-18.00 Monday to Friday to book an appointment with the dentist.

      • My tooth feels sensitive after a recent filling/crown/onlay/inlay
        • It is not unusual to experience some post operative sensitivity following dental surgery on a tooth such as having a new filling, crown, onlay or inlay.

Post operative sensitivity usually resolves witin 2 weeks.

If you are still experiencing sensitivity after this time then please call our reception on 0161 438 0446 during our open hours 9.00-13.00 and 14.00-18.00 Monday to Friday to book an appointment with the dentist.
