Tooth whitening is a great way to improve your smile at relatively little cost and without damaging your teeth.
Our professional tooth whitening treatment is provided by qualified dentists who will check your mouth to ensure that it is safe for you to whiten your teeth, explain how to use our whitening system safely and effectively, and give tips to minimise any sensitivity that you may encounter.
For most patients, tooth whitening will require 2 appointments followed by a 20 day course of wearing some tooth whitening trays at home with some tooth whitening gel, either overnight or for a couple of hours each day. The first appointment is for a tooth whitening assessment – we check your mouth and maybe take some X-Rays to make sure tooth whitening will be safe and effective for you, and take some moulds of your teeth so that some special tooth whitening trays can be custom made to fit your mouth. At the second appointment, we will fit the tooth whitening trays, provide the tooth whitening gel, explain how to use them and provide some written instructions.
Home Tooth Whitening – £380*
*The £380 includes a £30 non refundable charge for your Tooth Whitening Assessment appointment. If during your assessment, it is found that any other treatment is required before you could safely have tooth whitening, then any extra costs will be explained before you proceed.
Do I need a checkup before I have Tooth Whitening?
If you are due a dental checkup then it is important you have this first and normal charges would apply.
If you recently had a dental checkup at another dental practice and had dental X-Rays taken then it would be useful for request copies of the X-Rays to be emailed to you (there is usually no charge for this) to avoid having unnecessary repeat X-Rays.
How many appointments are needed for tooth whitening?
For most patients, tooth whitening usually requires 2 appointments but sometimes more may be needed. If it is anticipated that more than 2 appointments are required then this will be explained along with any additional cost during your assessment appointment.
How long does teeth whitening take?
We usually recommend a 20 day course of tooth whitening, but it may take longer for some patients and conditions.
